DHEKIAJULI: On Friday, Army and paramilitary forces conducted flag march in different parts of Thelamara and Dhekiajuli Police Station areas. More than 50 army envoys took part in the flag march.

The flag march was accompanied by the Sonitpur District Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh, Sonitpur Superintendent of Police Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, Numal Mahatta, Additional SP (HQ), and the army Commandant.

Sonitpur Additional Superintendent of Police, Numal Mahatta, said that Army personnel conducted a flag march on Friday in the areas under Thelamara and Dhekiajuli Police Station areas on the district administration's request. He also stated that during the last 24 hours no untoward incidents had been reported from any part of the curfew imposed areas in Sonitpur district.

Meanwhile, AJYCP Dhekiajuli unit condemned the incident and demanded action against the culprits involved in the incident. In a press release, its president Bhagaban Baishya and general secretary Dipak Nath demanded judicial enquiry into the Garuduba violence and strong punishment against the culprits.
