Indian Army distributes mosquito nets among villagers in Jagun

In a health campaign initiative, the Joint Director of Health Service along with Jagun 14th Rajput Regiment Army distributed mosquito nets among several villagers in Jagun.

JAGUN: The Joint Director of Health Service, Tinsukia, along with Jagun 14th Rajput Regiment Army, started a 15-day health campaign recently. This initiative was taken to distribute mosquito nets among several villagers in Jagun area under Jagun Gaon Panchayat in Margherita subdivision and to promote health awareness among villagers.

During the course of the campaign, under Subdivisional Health Officer (SDHO) Dr.S Alom, around 15,000 beneficiaries of 6 Mile, 8 Mile, 9 Mile,10 Mile, Jagori Basti, Namphai 1,2 and 3, Mandal Basti, Rampur, Phulbhari, and Rabha Gaon have already received the mosquito nets. These nets have the potential to play a major part in reducing illness caused by mosquito bites like malaria and dengue.
