DIBRUGARH: As part of the Indian Army's resolve to stand-by the Veer Naris, widows of ex-servicemen and the entire ex-servicemen fraternity, the DAO Division of the Indian Army will organize an ex-servicemen rally at Polo Ground, near Paltan Bazar, Dibrugarh on December 14. The ex-servicemen rally will cover ESM from across Dibrugarh District, Dinjan, Digboi and Tinsukia.
The Dao Division, in close liaison with military establishments and civil administration concerned, is aiming at resolution of grievances of its ex-servicemen. As stated in the press release issued by the Major, Second-in-Command, 5th Battalion of the Madras Regiment, the ex-servicemen rally will provide an opportunity to veterans and their families to directly interact with both military and civil agencies in resolving impending issues like pension anomalies, ECHS and canteen card updation, Aadhaar updation and benefits from central and state government departments.
"This ex-servicemen rally will be a befitting tribute to the selfless service of our veterans and their dependents," he further stated.
