GUWAHATI: Indian Army provided aid to civil and rail authorities after a goods train derailed during early morning hours at Naharkatiya on Monday. Responding to an emergency situation, immediate medical support and refreshments were provided to the stranded railway staff. Due to the peculiarity of requirement, troops also assisted the police in crowd control. This act was appreciated by the civil administration and the local populace, stated a press release.
