DIGBOI: In continuation of its sustained efforts to guide the youth of upper Assam region to be an asset for the society and the nation, the Indian Army unit here at Rupai in Doomdooma dedicated free coaching classes for the students of Class IX and Class XII at Doomdooma College in Tinsukia district.

The programme with immense socio-educational utilities, as designed by the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana, would go a long way in supporting the cause of the students who might have suffered during the nationwide lockdown on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"As the ongoing pandemic has hit all strata of humankind, the students were severely affected amongst all. During the prolonged lockdown due to COVID-19, the students of Doomdooma Circle have been deprived of regular classes in their respective school. Also due to lack of cellular connectivity and infrastructure in the region, the students could not avail benefits of online classes. With an aim to shoulder the inadequacy of resources, the Indian Army has decided to conduct coaching classes for students of IX to XII grade over a period of four months," stated a press communiqué issued by the Rupai based unit of Indian Army.
