Indian Medical Association (IMA) holds talk on cancer at Biswanath

Two oncologists from Narayana Hospital, Dr. Naresh Yadav and Dr. Rajkumar Prakash, attended the programme and delivered lectures on the intensity of cancer in humans

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A popular talk programme was organized on the dreaded cancer on Friday under the aegis of the Biswanath Chariali branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in collaboration with Narayana Hospital, Guwahati.

Two oncologists from Narayana Hospital, Dr. Naresh Yadav and Dr. Rajkumar Prakash, attended the programme and delivered lectures on the intensity of cancer in humans. The president of the Biswanath Chariali branch, Dr. Narayan Upadhyay, presided over the meeting, while Dr. Manjit Kakati, secretary, delivered the welcome address.

In his speech, Dr. Naresh Yadav discussed breast cancer in detail, especially in women. Dr. Rajkumar Prakash had an in-depth discussion on how to detect various cancers at an early stage and take appropriate measures. They also had an interaction with the doctors present.

Members of the association, including Dr. Amal Saikia, Dr. Nripen Saikia, Dr. Dhruva Phukan, Dr. Eliza Deka, Dr. Naren Kutum, Dr. Pranjal Saikia, and others, were present on the occasion.
