Initiative to save Lesser Adjutant storks of Assam

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Wild Heart Foundation (WHF) is a non-profit society run by a team of independent researchers and students in Northeast India. It was established on March 7, 2015 with the aim of documenting biodiversity, understanding the flow and its processes for conservation in particular reference to Biswanath district and NE India as a whole. A stork awareness Programme "Bortukula Saboloi Jao aha" was organized in Ripunjoy Knowledge Hub, Biswanath college in collaboration with Forest Department, Sonitpur East Division on Sunday. It was graced with the presence of Arun Vignesh, DFO, Sonitpur East Division, Biswajit Das, DFO Social Forestry, Amarjyoti Borthakur, Biswanath Municipality, Chintamoni Sharma, Biswanath College, Assam Bird Monitoring Network, Wild feathers and Plastic Pickers.
