Injured monocled cobra known as Chokori Pheti rescued by Shourav Borkataky in Jamugurihat

A monocled cobra (Naja Kauothia), popularly known as Chokori Pheti, was rescued by Shourav Borkataky, a familiar snake rescuer in the Jamugurihat area, from the residence of Dilip Kumar Bora, a resident of Udhabar Chuk, Jamugurihat, on Monday.

JAMUGURIHAT: A monocled cobra (Naja Kauothia), popularly known as Chokori Pheti, was rescued by Shourav Borkataky, a familiar snake rescuer in the Jamugurihat area, from the residence of Dilip Kumar Bora, a resident of Udhabar Chuk, Jamugurihat, on Monday. According to information, the family members of Dilip Kumar Bora had spotted an injured cobra that was trapped in a water tank of the house and immediately informed rescuer Borkataky. Later on, Shourav Borkataky reached the house and rescued the injured snake after a primary treatment, and it was released in Kaziranga National Park.
