GOLAGHAT: The Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) will arrive in Golaghat to visit the flood-affected areas in Golaghat district. As per information from the DIPRO, Golaghat, a high-level Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) of the Government of India will visit the Golaghat district to assess the flood damages that occurred during the 2019 floods in Golaghat district. The members of the team visiting Golaghat district are Brigadier Ajay Gangwar, Advisor (Ops &Comn), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), New Delhi, SB Tiwari, Under Secretary, Jintu Das, Joint Director, Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmer’s Welfare, and Kripaljyoti Mazumdar, Protocol officer for the team, Project Officer (ASDMA).
The team will be visiting flood-affected areas under Dhansiri subdivision on Friday at around 9:30 am. The proposed villages to visit are Simolu Chapori, Barpathar, Nagajuri Village and No.2 Koiri village. After the field visit, the team will hold a meeting with the district administration and line departments at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Golaghat.
