International conference held at Dibrugarh University

DIBRUGARH: The international conference on Recent Advances in Materials Chemistry and Catalysis (RAMCC-2023) was held on Wednesday at Dibrugarh University. The international conference was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Dibrugarh University.

The inaugural session was held at Rangghar Auditorium where Prof Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor of the University, inaugurated the three-day long conference. Dr G Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR-NEIST Jorhat graced the occasion as chief guest and Rip Hazarika, Managing Director, BCPL, Lepetjata, Dibrugarh was present as guest of honour.

The conference Book of Abstract was inaugurated by Prof. SC Kakati, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering. Along with them, seven delegates from abroad -Prof Tatsuo Kaneko (Japan), Prof. Norbert Reiling (Germany), Francesca Deganello (Italy), Prof. Peter Spatenka ( Czech Republic), Prof. Hironao Sajiki ( Japan) Prof Jean Pascal Sutter ( France), Prof Yshio Hayashi (Japan) and Prof. Dewan Sing Rawat from University of Delhi were present on the dais.

Prof. Diganta Sharma, joint convenor, hosted the session where invited speakers, more than 300 participants from across the country and abroad, industry delegates apart from Deans, heads and chairpersons of different departments and centre of studies of the University were present.

After the inaugural session, parallel technical sessions were held at Rangghar auditorium and Indira Miri conference hall and the first poster session at Rangghar premises. A total of 98 posters were presented in the first day of the conference.
