TINSUKIA: At the backdrop of widespread protests by thousands of environmental activists, researchers and groups on the contentious draft Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) 2020 seeking its revocation, the Cell for Women's Studies & Development (CWSD) Tinsukia College in collaboration with Ethnic Studies and Research (CFSR), Guwahati organized an International e-panel discussion on 'EIA 2020-Environmental Impact on North East India' on Saturday. While Dr. R. P. Pradhan, Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, inaugurated the discussion and also delivered key-note address, Dr. Abhinandan Saikia Assistant Professor TISS, Guwahati and Dr. Anwesha Borthakur Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium acted as panellists. The welcome address delivered by Dr. Rupali Gogoi coordinator CWSD, the session was jointly coordinated by Mayuri Sharma Baruah and Kashmiri Dohutia.
