International Human Rights Day organized at Doomdooma College

The Department of Political Science, Doomdooma College organized a lecture on 'Children's Rights' in conjunction with International Human Rights Day

DOOMDOOMA: The Department of Political Science, Doomdooma College organized a lecture on 'Children's Rights' in conjunction with International Human Rights Day on Saturday at the auditorium of Doomdooma Jatiya Vidyalaya(JV). The programme was inaugurated by the Principal of the school Surbhi Moran who welcomed the guests and the Head of Political Science Department of Doomdooma College, Associate Professor Gayatri Medhi Mahanta delivered the welcome speech. Afterwards, Dr. Pilu Hazarika, Member, Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Assam State explained the rights of children and the protective laws for them to the students. The event was hosted by Professor Dr. Pranjit Shaikia and was attended by journalist Arjun Barua as the chief guest. The event was attended by several teachers of the college and the JV school.
