Intoxicating tablets seized, two held by railway police in Sivasagar

Two youths were nabbed by railway police and a huge number of intoxicating tablets were seized from their possession at Simaluguri Railway Station on Thursday.

SIVASAGAR: Two youths were nabbed by railway police and a huge number of intoxicating tablets were seized from their possession at Simaluguri Railway Station on Thursday.

According to Railway Police sources, during routine checking, the officials recovered 6,780 intoxicating tablets from the two youths identified as Samit Roy and Baban Das, who were engaged in the pantry car of the Rajdhani Express. The tablets were being transported from Katihar. Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection to the matter by the Railway Police and further investigation is on.
