Irate public allegedly ransack Dumuria panchayat office

PATHSALA: A section of irate people on Monday allegedly ransacked the panchayat office of Dumuria under Bajali subdivision and manhandled two officials, including the panchayat secretary Manoranjan Das and president of 121 no. Dumuria gaon Panchayat, Chitraleka Roy. They were reportedly punished for the alleged irregularities in selecting beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The irate people even broke the office furniture and other items. Police arrived at the spot and controlled the situation and investigation is going on. Meanwhile, Bajali Zila Koch Rajbangshi Sangrami Manch condemned the incident and demanded punishment to those who were involved in the incident. Meanwhile, SDO (C) in-charge Bajali and Additional Deputy Commissioner Nayanjyoti Bhagabati has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
