JAGIROAD: Jagiroad police acting on a tip-off on Monday arrested one drug peddler and recovered 573 grams of heroin from Shilbhanga. Police sources said that a drug peddler from Manipur arrived at Jagiroad Shilbhanga area. Police immediately cordoned the area and arrested the culprit and recovered the drugs worth Rs 4.5 cr. However, following heavy showers and darkness, the peddler overpowered the police and fled. Later police finding no alternative fired him and nabbed. The accused was later on admitted to local hospital.
