Jal Jeevan Mission projects inaugurated under Mangaldai LAC

PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government is committed to providing arsenic-free potable drinking water to the people living in remote and rural areas and for this purpose

MANGALDAI: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government is committed to providing arsenic-free potable drinking water to the people living in remote and rural areas and for this purpose, the government has introduced the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), a novel and unique initiative. With the successful implementation of the JJM projects, every villager will be able to lead a healthy life,” said Mangaldai Parliamentarian Dilip Saikia while dedicating a JJM project at village Athiabari under Mangaldai LAC on Sunday.

He also appealed to all sections of the villagers to properly maintain the project and not to waste water. Mangaldai legislator Basanta Das, Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey and the officials of Public Health Engineering department were also present in the inaugural function. Parliamentarian Saikia also inaugurated another JJM project at village Chikanmati under Dalgaon LAC on Sunday.
