Jatinga-Haflong road will be four lane: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma

On the last day of the election campaign, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a meeting in Muolhoi village near Haflong town on Saturday.

HAFLONG: On the last day of the election campaign, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a meeting in Muolhoi village near Haflong town on Saturday. Apart from the Chief Minister, CEM Debolal Garlosa, Minister Nandita Garlosa and others were present in Muolhoi village inhabited by Hmar community. He then held meetings at Wajo, Semkhar and Diger and finally addressed the public meeting at Langting.

Speaking on the day, the Chief Minister said that Assam government has given more importance to the development of roads in Dima Hasao district. The development of the area is not possible if the communication system is not improved. So the government has already approved making the Jatinga highway to Haflong - Jatinga feeder road four lanes. Diyungbra-Lower Haflong two-lane road will be under Assam Mala. Work has already started. More similar roads will be constructed. Law College will be set up in Dima Hasao district. Besides, he sanctioned Rs 15 crores for the construction of a village connecting road in Langting and 10 crores for Hatikhali. He also announced the construction of a state of art stadium in Langting. The Chief Minister also promised to provide ration cards and Orunodoi scheme for Hatikhali and Langting.
