Guwahati: Senior journalist Khagen Kalita joins Assam Congress at Rajiv Bhawan. He joined the political party in presence of the senior party leaders Pradyut Bordoloi and Ripun Bora on Monday.
Along with Kalita, around 600 Bharatiya Janata Party workers joined Congress today. With elections coming up next year, this will act as a huge blow to the BJP.
The Vice-President of All Assam Anusuchit Jati Unnayan Parishad, and a BJP worker of Jagiroad constituency, Swapan Mandal joined Congress along with other members.
