Journalists of Tezpur felicitated for their relentless services during COVID

Working journalists in Tezpur were felicitated here on Thursday in recognition of their relentless services during the COVID-19 pandemic in the district.

TEZPUR: Working journalists in Tezpur were felicitated here on Thursday in recognition of their relentless services during the COVID-19 pandemic in the district. The programme was organized by Raktadata, a frontier NGO of Assam, Sonitpur district unit, to encourage the media personnel. Members of Raktadata felicitated the mediapersons of Sonitpur Press Club at the club premises.

State secretary of Raktadata Pawan Kumar Nath, veteran photographer Barlin Saikia, journalist and cultural activist Dip Kumar Kalita and all members of Sonitpur Press Club attended the felicitation programme. All the members of Sonitpur Press Club were accorded warm welcome and felicitated with phulam gamosa and a citation and were handed over hand sanitizer bottles in the event. Secretary of Raktadata, Pawan Kumar Nath said that the social organization wanted to extend gratitude and sincere thanks to the media, police, medical and safai karmacharis for relentlessly rendering services during the COVID-19 pandemic in the district.
