NAGAON: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team led by DIG Lovely Katiyar intensified its nonstop investigation in all aspects to unearth the exact cause behind the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha. The team from the central investigative agency summoned the then officer in charge of Nagaon Police Station, Manoj Rajbangshi who was placed under suspension right after the death of SI Junmoni Rabha, incharge officer of Haibargaon Outpost SI Abhajyoti Rabha, driver of OC, Nagaon Police Station Anil Bhuyan to Nagaon circuit house and they were being quizzed for long since this morning here.
All these police officials as well as the driver were also summoned to Nagaon circuit house late evening on Sunday and were quizzed for long by the officials of the CBI team. The investigation agency also quizzed SI Raja Irshad again, sources added.
Besides, the CBI technical team also examined the computer set of Morikolong outpost where the victim SI Junmoni worked as incharge officer till her death. The officials of CBI team directed the incumbent incharge of the outpost Manoj Boruah to bring the all machineries as well as accessories of computer sets affixed at Morikolong outpost to Nagaon circuit house. The officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation quizzed Manoj Boruah too.
It is pertinent to mention here that following the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha, Sumitra Rabha, the bereaved mother of the victim lady police sub-inspector mentioned the names of all these police officers along with SP Leena Doley, ASP Tridib Kumbang in her FIR lodged in Jakhalabandha PS. Besides, the name of then Additional Superintendent of Police (crime) Rupjyoti Kalita was also reportedly embroiled in the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha. It’s expected too that the investigative agency will also quiz then SP Leena Doley, ASP Tridib Kumbang and Rupjyoti Kalita shortly.
