Boko: Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup district, Kamal Kumar Baishya held a press meet on Monday in the Kamrup district administration office. He declared that the code of conduct had been imposed in Kamrup district. The notification will be issued on March 28 and the last date of the nomination submission on April 4. The last date of nomination withdrawal is April 8. Total 21, 57, 092 voters will cast their votes in 886 voting centre from 10 assembly constituencies.
The administration has already launched a helpline number for voters - 0361 1950. Kamrup district Superintendent of Police Parth Sarathi Mahanta, ADC Munindra Nagtey and ADC Siddhartha Goswami also took part in the press meet. SP Parth Sarathi Mahanta said that police would handle each and every law-and-order situation sincerely. ADC Munindra Nagtey took charge as Model Code of Conduct officer in Guwahati parliamentary constituency.
