'Mirbin' (name of a girl of Karbi tribe) is the central character of the story, all characters orbit around her. As she grew up, her suggestible mind soaked in the story of Serdihun (a legendary Karbi lady who invented colors and design for Karbi handloom products).
A story passed on to her by her grandmother and she was greatly influenced by the story. Mirbin is a strong-minded girl. In the year 2005, the fratricidal strife emerged as a wave that did not spare the small hamlet of Mirbin. Her small village was destroyed by fire. Kaban, the only remnant of her childhood friendship too lost her life in that carnage. Mirbin was violently raped by savage attackers and her unconscious body was thrown in the thick undergrowths. This traumatic experience impacted her and darkness engulfed her.
