GOLAGHAT: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju attended a meeting of the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra under the Central Development Block under the Betiyoni Goan Panchayat in Golaghat on Sunday.
The meeting, which started with the felicitation ceremony, showcased excerpts of the Sankalp Yatra of developed India (Modi Government’s Promise of Ease and Transparency) through video conferencing, and all those present resolved to make India a developed country by 2027.
The benefits under PMAGY, the Ayushman Card, and the Ujjwala Scheme were distributed among the beneficiaries. MLA from Khumtai constituency, Mrinal Saikia, delivered the welcome address and urged the people to take advantage of the schemes offered by the government. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was the Chief Guest, said in the context of his speech that in the last 10 years, 100% of government facilities have been provided to the people. A number of beneficiaries under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Jubani’ expressed their minds and also showcased free drones provided by the government for women SELF-Help Groups.
Assam State BJP Vice President Ashok Kumar Bhattarai, MLA of Khumtai Constituency Mrinal Saikia, Chief Executive Officer of Golaghat Zilla Parishad Dhiraj Das, Zilla Parishad Chairman Helina Pegu, social activist Satyajit Borthakur, officials of other district administrations, and hundreds of people were present on the occasion.
