Kokrajhar police recover illegal arms and ammunitions

The police recovered 9 mm pistol with magazine, one 7.65 mm pistol; with magazine, 3 rounds bullet, and one Chinese hand grenade. However, no arrest has been made so far.

Kokhrajhar Police on Saturday recovered a 9 mm pistol with magazine, one 7.65 mm pistol; with the magazine, 3 rounds bullet, and one Chinese hand grenade. The arms and ammunition were recovered in the Pepsu jungle area, under Kachugaon Police station, after acting on a tip-off.

The information was shared by Kokrajhar Police's official Twitter handle.

Earlier, Kokrajhar Police apprehended two people carrying the illegal arms and the fake notes.

The series of recovery of illegal arms, ammunition, and fake currencies are being done days ahead of the upcoming BTC elections. The elections which were supposed to be held in April is now scheduled to be held in December this year. Kokrajhar is part of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and falls under BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council).
