Kordoiguri Anchalik Yuba Sangha to pay admission fees for poor students

DOOMDOOMA: The Kordoiguri Anchalik Yuba Sangha (KAYS) of Kordoiguri under Doomdooma Revenue Circle will pay the admission fees of 11 students from various educational institutions in the area who passed the Higher Secondary Final Examination and are from financially poor families. A declaration to this effect was made at a function titled ‘Prerana’ held at the late Gunindra Nath Khatowal Hall on Sunday. Besides this all the passed out students of HSLC and HS examinations were awarded text books and one English/Assamese Dictionary.

The event which was anchored by the education secretary of the Yuba Sangha Bulan Baruah and secretary Janmajeya Baruah had its president Rohendra Moran as co-ordinator and Pradip Moran, headmaster, Kordoiguri Girls’ ME School as appointed speaker. Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba - Chatra Parishad (AJYCP)’s Central Joint Secretary Surajit Moran, Principal, Kordoiguri Senior Secondary School Rupa Borgohain, Industrial Estate Users’ Association’s Secretary Rajarshi Gogoi, Proprietor, Assam Enterprise Manash Tamuli graced the occasion as invited guests. The awards were presented by the people who had previously announced that they would award the students who got the highest marks in various subjects from various educational institutions.
