Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tinsukia organized a Animal health camp

TINSUKIA:  Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tinsukia organized a day-long animal health camp, vaccination and awareness programme in collaboration with State Veterinary Dispensary, Tinsukia and Mobile Veterinary Unit (Dial No. 1962) on Tuesday at Jingha Gaon, Bahadur Chariali under Tinsukia district in the presence of Dr Hiramoni Deka, Veterinary Officer, from State Veterinary Dispensary Tinsukia, Dr Kanak Keot, Mobile Veterinary Officer, Tinsukia, Dr Gautomi Dutta Programme Assistant (Veterinary) and Dr. Sarodee Boruah, SMS (Plant Protection) from KVK Tinsukia.

In the camp nearly about 60 farmers and farm women participated in the programme and a total of 488 animals were examined and treated accordingly. Besides, the KVK Tinsukia also distributed vitamins, mineral supplements, rumenotorics, anthelmitics, and liver tonics among the animal raisers. Under the vaccination programme, about 300 animals were vaccinated against Foot and Mouth Disease and Lumpy skin disease and an awareness programme was also conducted on different diseases prevailing in the district. Villagers from Jingha as well as nearby villages were highly benefited from this camp.
