Lakhimpur District Health Department sent 71 samples to Dibrugarh lab

The Lakhimpur District Health Department sent a total of 71 swab samples to the Regional Viral Research

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Health Department sent a total of 71 swab samples to the Regional Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, ICMR, RMRC of Dibrugarh district for COVID-19 test during the last two days. Of these, 38 swab samples of persons with suspected coronavirus exposure were sent on Monday while rest 33 swab samples were sent on Tuesday. On the other hand, the result of the test of six swab samples, sent on Sunday, were reported to the District Health Department to be negative for coronavirus on Monday.

The number of people stamped for home quarantine in the district went up to 7,160 on Tuesday. The Health Department stamped 126 people of the district for home quarantine on the day. A total of 4,473 people of the district already completed their home quarantine till date. On the other hand, the district administration launched a comprehensive sanitization drive in the North Lakhimpur municipal area on Tuesday.
