LAKHIMPUR: With a view to render a move for the all-round development and transformation of the upcoming generation, Abtutani Ka:sin Ope: has organized a month-long academic camp-cum-free of cost teaching programme covering larger Bogoriguri and Moderguri, an outreach area of Brahmaputra Valley under Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur district.
Subjects like Basic Mathematics, General Knowledge, Legal Knowledge, English and Assamese Grammar and composition, motivational speech, Mental Ability Test, Yoga, Moral Science, Environmental Science, leadership quality enhancement, health education, knowledge against superstition and social malpractices have been covered by the organizer for teaching the students from Class VI to college-level students in the camp which will conclude on July 31.
The programme kicked off at Mrirong Ghar premises located at Bahir Bogoriguri village with the inaugural lecture by Abutani Ka:sin Ope: president Uttam Kumar Doley on July 1. Then a motivational speech was delivered by headmaster of Kherkota High School, Hemanta Pegu while Pradhan Acharya of Bosamukh Sankardev Shisu Niketan, Jyoti Prashad Doley took a class on Basic Mathematics.
On the second day on Tuesday, writer-journalist and Lakhimpur District Swachh Bharat Mission Brand Ambassador Ranjit Kakati took part in the programme as resource person who delivered an extensive motivational speech. “Positive thoughts and people’s zeal for doing something good can lead a society towards amelioration. Our students must give up their inferiority complex and should possess the capacity of thinking positively for the individual and social betterment,” he said while addressing the students. In his lecture, he elaborated the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, effect of carbon emission and polythene waste matters, importance of yoga practice for holistic development and importance of English language. On Wednesday, expert teachers took class on Mathematics and general knowledge in the programme.
