Gossaigaon: The forest department led by Kachugaon DFO recently launched a series of operation and seized a large quantity of Sal and Shagun Illegal Wood from different places of Gossaigaon subdivision.
The forest officials recovered 13 pieces of Sal logs from Raimona Range and 21 pieces from central range. Altogether, there are six ranges and two depots under the Kachugaon forest division from where a total of 68 cubic meter wood were seized in the last few days, worth more than Rs 20 lakh. Other than this, about 150 vehicles were also seized.
