Leading citizen from Marwari Community Chiranjilal Goyal passes away

Chiranjilal Goyal, a senior citizen of Marwari Community, passed away on Thursday midnight.

DOOMDOOMA: Chiranjilal Goyal, a senior citizen of Marwari Community, passed away on Thursday midnight. He was ailing for some time past. He was 94 and is survived by four sons including journalist Dinesh Goyal, vice-president, Doomdooma Press Club and two daughters. His wife predeceased him a few years back. Born in Dhadh village in the Hisar district of Haryana, he came to Assam in 1952 to seek his fortune and by dint of his hard labour he was soon able to stand on his own as a businessman. He was the founder president of Bhartiya Janata party (BJP), Doomdooma Mandal and was also associated with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for sometime. He was former president of Doomdooma Marwari Panchayati Bhavan and Doomdooma Durgotsab Samity.
