Lecturer Dhaneswar Narzary, yet to get his due recognition

There are many writers and poets, new or old among the Bodos who have come to limelight with their few creations and many of them have received different awards including Sahitya Akademi awards

KOKRAJHAR: There are many writers and poets, new or old among the Bodos who have come to limelight with their few creations and many of them have received different awards including Sahitya Akademi awards, but an immensely talented writer from the society is yet to be identified and recognized by the Bodo literary bodies. He is none but a college lecturer Dhaneswar Narzary who have 19 books to his credit and whose articles are being included in college and university level. Despite his huge creative contributions in the Bodo literature, the few persons know Narzary who hails from Simen Chapori in Dhemaji district.

The great unnoticed writer has composed and published 19 books, edited 12 souvenir and magazines. Many articles of Narzary have been included in the syllabus under Dibrugarh, Gauhati and Bodoland University in the colleges but despite this fact, his vast contributions are not well known even in intellectual circle and literary bodies of the Bodos.

Narzary is lecturer of Simen Chapari College. Though his name has been figured in the Assam Education (Provincialization of Services of teachers and re-organization of educational institution) Act, 2017, he is yet to get salary from the government.
