Leopard captured, later released in Nambor Reserve Forest

A leopard that had been creating terror in the Adharsatra area under Golaghat forest division, was captured by the forest officials with the help of local people on Monday.

GOLAGHAT: A leopard that had been creating terror in the Adharsatra area under Golaghat forest division, was captured by the forest officials with the help of local people on Monday.

According to the report, the leopard had been creating terror in the Adharsatra area since long day and the people in the area were living in fear. More than 35 cows and goats were killed by the leopard. Local people reported the matter to the forest department and the forest officials put a cage in the area and finally on Monday night, the leopard was caged. Local people gathered in large numbers to see the captured leopard. Later, the forest officials took the leopard to the Nambor Reserve Forest and released it.
