LAKHIMPUR: Lightning claimed the life of a farmer in Lakhimpur district on Monday morning. The person has been identified as Chandiram Nath, permanent resident of Acharikhona Nath Gaon under Panigaon Police Station under North Lakhimpur Revenue Circle. Chandiram Nath was ploughing his paddy field. His wife, who was also in the paddy field at that time along with him, had a narrow escape. Both of them were later admitted in Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital. The deceased person was serving as the cook of Madhya Telahi High School. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter along with a host of relatives.
