Literary symposium on poems of Gautam Jyoti Talukdar held in Udalguri

UDALGURI: A literary symposium was held at Udalguri Sahitya Sabha Bhavan to focus on the poetic writings of Gautam Jyoti Talukdar. The programme was jointly organized by Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX), Mangaldai regional office, Udalguri distict Sahitya Sabha and Udalguri branch of AXX. The programme was presided over by Hareswar Kalita the president of Udalguri district committee of AXX. Selected poems of Anuj Gautam the proscribed name of Gautam Jyoti Talukdar were recited by Meghmala Sutradhar, Gagan Lahakar, Sunil Das, Barasha Gayan, Tulika Talukdar, Vivek Das, Dipak Sutradhar, Bipul Kumar, Vivek Das (junior) and Arpana Hazarika Kalita. The literary criticism on the poems was presented by Jayanta Deka the Assistant Professor of GU (IDOL). The programme was also attended by Dipendra Narayan Konwar, Dr. Pabitra Sarma, Gautamananda Goswami and others. This was the first literary symposium based on the write ups of a poet.
