Lok Kalyan Divas observed in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: On the occasion of Lok Kalyan Divas observed on the occasion of the death anniversary of Bharatratna Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi, an employee of the office of the District Commissioner, Sivasagar received the Lok Sewa Award, 2023 on Saturday.

Addressing a meeting organized by the district administration at Sukafa Conference Hall in the office of the District Commissioner on the occasion of Lok Kalyan Divas, District Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav greeted the public service awardee Pranab Chetia, an employee of the office of the District Commissioner, Sivasagar who is engaged as Khansama at Sivasagar Circuit House. In the context of his speech, Yadav said that the main driving force of an office is the employees. He called upon the employees to work selflessly for the people with a spirit of service. The district commissioner expressed hope that more nominations for employees could be sent from this office and other departments in Sivasagar district for the award next year.

Additional District Commissioners Partha Pratim Khanikar, Javed Arman and Geetalee Duwara spoke on the sense of responsibility and dutifulness of the employees and sought cooperation of all the employees in performing their duties. Earlier, District Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav and additional district commissioners lit the earthen lamp and offered floral tributes before the image of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi. The meeting was also attended by officers and staff of the district commissioner’s office and officials and employees of various departments of the district.
