Medical camp under Operation Sadbhavana held in Nalbari

NALBARI: In its efforts to provide succour to local people in surrounding villages of Barkhetri circle, Nalbari, Assam, a medical and a veterinary camp was organized at Bhangnamari Char (River island) by a unit of the Red Horns Division on Saturday under Operation Sadbhavana.

In first of this kind wherein all medicines, doctors and conducting staff was inducted through the Brahmaputra in boats of Inland Water Transport Ops Unit of Army to this inaccessible remote area, a team of doctors from Red Horns Division and the civil administration provided medical assistance and medicines to sick people and animals. A gynaecologist conducted an awareness capsule for women on menstrual health and hygiene and distributed menstrual cups for free. This was an effective platform to create health awareness amongst locals. The synergy of civil and military administration will go a long way in reaching the remote areas of the country and alleviating the medical challenges of our people and animals. Efforts of the Indian Army in the conduction of medical and veterinary camp and its professionalism, keeping in mind the COVID protocols was lauded by one and all.
