KOKRAJHAR: A meeting on the revamping and extension of existing Kokilabari Farm in Baksa district was held on Friday in Kokilabari Farm with the Executive Members and Secretaries of BTC. The meeting emphasized extension for multiple farming and new projects to be added in multi dimensional areas.

The meeting was attended by BTC EMs-Rakesh Brahma, Ghanashyam Das and Dr. Kamal Malla Bujarbaruah, Economic Adviser to the CEM of BTR, with departmental Secretary Naren Chandra Basumatary and Santa K. Basumatary, Under Secretary, along with CHDs of Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Fishery and Dairy Milk and all other officers of departments.

The meeting discussed on the present status of the farm and feasibility for extension for multiple farming. Economy adviser of BTC asked the developmental CHDs to prepare projects to submit to the Government of Assam for additional budget for approval. He said that for the projects like plantation of trees/saplings, food processing park, infrastructural development, fish breeding farm, hatchery and dairy milk products, the department concerned could prepare projects as early as possible. In the meeting, the departmental CHDs presented some important DPRs in details about their projects which are to be set up at Kokilabari farm in Baksa district.
