Meeting held to review the progress of Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital construction

Kokrajhar: An urgent meeting was held at the site of Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital at Besorgaon in Kokrajhar on Wednesday on the progress of construction of Kokrajhar Medical College. The meeting also discussed erosion protection measures as River Gaurang passes near the proposed site of the medical college.

The meeting was led by Dinesh Boro, Joint Secretary of BTC, and various officers of BTC and contractors were present. The team also visited the construction site of the Planetarium, Kokrajhar to assess the progress of work. Chief Engineer, PWD, Government of Assam, directed the contractor to expedite the work so that it could be completed within the scheduled time. Stress was also given on erosion protection at the site of the Kokrajhar Medical College and work will start from this month onwards. The Chief Engineer, Government of Assam, asked the Executive Engineer, Water Resources, BTC, to take appropriate action.
