DOOMDOOMA: A mental health awareness meeting was organized by Doomdooma 30 Bedded FRU Hospital at Hoonlal Higher Secondary School, Doomdooma on Saturday. The meeting was attended by the students of classes IX-XII , besides teachers and the Principal of the school Alip Khan. Dr. Ashma Ghaznavi, Chief Medical and Health Officer and in-charge of the hospital delivered a speech on the mental health. She explained about taking care of the mind and how to live without mental distress and difficulties. She said addiction is a form of mental illness and gave some tips on how to keep oneself away from it. Mental Health Specialist Lakshyajyoti Das also gave an advisory lecture to the students. He said anyone with any mental problems can go to Room No. 30 of the Tinsukia Civil Hospital for relief instructions. The meeting was attended by Health Instructor Basanta Bharali and Women Health Inspector Inu Gohain.
