Mihiniswar Basumatary's new bodo audio CD released in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: A new Bodo audio CD Agwma Olongbar Hathorkhi, produced by Jarimin Audio Productions of Sanjari Nwgwr, Simen Chapori, Dhemaji was ceremonially released by Sanjarang Lakheswar Brahma Award winner and social worker Birendra Kr. Brahma at the office of Lakhimpur district ex-BLT Welfare Society on Saturday in presence of Chief Executive Member of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council, Mihiniswar Basumatary and deputy chief Romeo P. Narzary and leaders of United Bodo People's Organization (UBPO).

The songs have been written and compiled by Mihiniswar Basumatary and the lyrics have also been given by him. The new cassette with 22 songs is the second audio CD cassette of Mihiniswar Basumatary.

The new Bodo audio cassette is dedicated to Brajendra Kr. Brahma, Tagore and Sahitya Akademi awardee and former president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), and it was released commemorating the 31st death anniversary of Bodofa UN Brahma.

Anchored by Anil Basumatary, EM of BKWAC, the function was also addressed by secretary of BSS Hareswar Narzary, president of UBPO, Manuranjan Basumatary and deputy chief of BKWAC, Romeo P. Narzary.

Birendra Kr. Brahma, who graced the function as chief guest, praised Mihiniswar Basumatary for his relentless efforts in the field of literature, culture and tribal politics, especially outside BTC in Assam. He said that Basumatary, who is leading the BKWAC as CEM, had made a lot of contribution to the society right from the Bodoland movement.
