In view of the rising cases across Assam, Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that from Monday, August 9 patients contracting the virus will be provided with a pulse oximeter and first line supportive medicines free of cost in Guwahati city.
It has been reported that this condition is applicable for the patients who prefer to stay in home quarantine.
The minister shared this information in his official twitter handle quoting "From tomorrow, we will provide patient preferring to stay in home isolation a pulse oximeter and first-line supportive medicine completely free in Guwahati City"
State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also informed that the tele medicine service has also been activated for the patients through 104.
He also added that he will soon expand these services to other places as well.
