Minister Keshab Mahanta inaugurated 40-bedded Inflatable COVID Hospital in Sivasagar

State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Wednesday inaugurated a 40-bedded Inflatable COVID Hospital in the premises of Swargadew Siu- Ka- Pha Multispecialty (SSMS) Hospital at Rajabari near Demow in Sivasagar district.

GAURISAGAR/DEMOW: State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Wednesday inaugurated a 40-bedded Inflatable COVID Hospital in the premises of Swargadew Siu- Ka- Pha Multispecialty (SSMS) Hospital at Rajabari near Demow in Sivasagar district. This is the first Inflatable COVID Hospital in the Northeast.

The minister also took stock of the infrastructure and other facilities of the hospital. He exchanged views with the authority of the hospital. He said that the newly-constructed sophisticated COVID Care Hospital would provide better treatment. The 40-bedded Inflatable COVID Hospital has 20 ICU beds.

Mahanta was accompanied by Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Bishnu Kamal Borah, Education Minister-cum-Sivasagar's Guardian Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu. Sushanta Buragohain, MLA of Thowra, former MLA Kushal Dowori, and other dignitaries were present in the inaugural programme. Later, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta visited the Demow Rajmai Vaccine Centre.
