Minister Parimal Suklabaidya lays foundation stone of dykes in Cachar

Minister Parimal Suklabaidya laid the foundation stone of the construction works of anti-erosion measures of the dyke

SILCHAR: Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the construction works of anti-erosion measures of the dyke along the length and breath of Sonai river from SM road to Darmikhal for the restoration of breach like damage at Malugram of Palonghat GP. The project cost is estimated to be of Rs. 200.61 lakhs. He also laid the foundation stone of another anti erosion measures at Dholai Puran Sadak on Rukni River under SOPD- FDR with an estimated amount of Rs. 317.37 lakh at Sadagram and Langtugram of Dholai GP.

Suklabaidya said, during the rule of earlier Congress government, the disaster management works were started during monsoon and as such the works could not be completed as per plan and estimate. Hence people did not get fruitful results although public money was used. The present BJP government stopped such misuse of funds and ensured fruitful results to save the people from the calamities. Suklabaidya directed the government officials of the steering committee to ensure high quality work and complete the work in stipulated time.
