Minister Rihon Daimary asks officials to work as a team in the fight against COVID-19

BAKSA: "We have to fight as a team to win against the battle against COVID-19," said State PHE minister Rihon Daimary while addressing officials of Baksa district during the district-level task force meeting in Mushalpur on Tuesday.

After taking stock of the ongoing COVID-19 situation and reviewing the health care facilities for the migrant people quarantined in various quarantine centres of the district, he expressed gratitude to the COVID warriors. For employment generation, Daimary asked the Project Director of DRDA to be prepared with job cards for migrant labourers of the district to absorb them under the schemes of DRDA.

For the treatment of COVID-19 patients, he asked the Joint Director of Health Services to keep ready the civil hospital as the number of medical staff in the district was low. Fifteen ICU beds in the civil hospital at Mushalpur will be made ready soon.

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, within this financial year 23 lakh households will get water supply through pipeline, said Daimary in the meeting. In this meeting, Additional Principal Secretary of BTC and nodal officer for Baksa, Jolly Das Brahma asked officials to get ready and prepare plans for tackling the flood situation also. The meeting was presided over by Baksa Deputy Commissioner Ranjan Sarma.
