Kokrajhar: A minor girl (9) studying in Class IV was allegedly raped by a man (50) in Kokrajhar ward no. 2 on Sunday. The rapist has been arrested by Kokrajhar Police. Sources said that Subhash Singha of Shantinagar ward no. 2 allegedly raped the minor girl in his residence on Sunday noon. That morning, the victim went to his residence for tuition along with her friends. The tuition ended at 10 am and all students left his room but Singha allegedly asked the girl to stay for a while and then raped her. Kokrajhar Police arrested the accused and brought him to the police station for investigation while the minor girl was taken to the hospital for medical examination. A case has been registered.
