Miscreants ransack, burn down house in Nagaon, Assam, no one hurt

The miscreants set ablaze the first floor of the two-storey buildings. Incident took place on Monday night.

Nagaon: Sensation prevailed in Sensuwa area of Nagaon. Miscreants entered the house of one Dipen Bordoloi, ransacked the house and set it on fire. The incident took place on Monday night.

The house was vacant when the incident happened. The miscreants set ablaze the first floor of the two-storey buildings. Some passersby saw the incident taking place and started shouting and raising an alarm. The miscreants used ropes to get out of the first floor are setting the floor on fire. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. Bordoloi, the owner of the house is based out of Nagaon as he works outside Nagaon. The incident has left people of the neighbourhood worried. Police investigation is on.
