JAMUGURIHAT: The new building of Sootea State Veterinary Hospital was inaugurated by Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika on Wednesday.
In this connection, a public meeting was organized in the hospital premises. Addressing the gathering, Hazarika spoke about the importance of animal husbandry towards economic development of the State. He made a humble appeal to the general public to join hands in milk production and apply scientific technology in animal husbandry.
Further, Hazarika added that there are challenges before milk producers but Kanyaka has already set an example of success in this field.
The meeting was attended by Deba Kumar Mishra, the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath, Akashdeep Kakaty and Mantush Chakraborty; Circles Officer of Naduar revenue circle along with other dignitaries. Veterinary doctor Dipak Sarma conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
