MANGALDAI: Synchronizing with the celebration of the 77th Independence Day, a premier non government organization of Darrang district, Crystal Vision, on Monday organized mobile blood donation camps here at different locations. The blood donation programme technically supported by the District Health Society, State Blood Transfusion Council, Assam and Blood Bank Centre of Mangaldai Civil Hospital and assisted by Mangaldai College authority was inaugurated by Darrang District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey at the campus of Mangaldai College.
This was followed by an awareness meeting on the need and significance of voluntary blood donation and participation of the students’ community was held in presence of several prominent persons including Dr Nirmal Kumar Beria, Joint Director of Health Services, Darrang, Dr Daud Ali Medical Officer, Mangaldai Blood Bank Centre, Dr Kamala Kanta Borah Principal of Mangaldai College, Suvinder Ambawat Deputy Commandant, 37 Battalion of SSB, Major Hariman Deka, teacher in charge of NCC, Mangaldai College and others.
