More than 100 people from BPF, other Political Parties join BJP in Tamulpur

Even after the BTC polls more than 100 people from various political parties, including BPF, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

BAKSA: Erosion in the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) continued even after the BTC poll. On Friday evening, more than 100 people from various political parties, including BPF, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On this occasion, a meeting was held in the premises of Padma Ananda Market which was presided over by Satyajit Pathak, president of Darangajuli Mandal BJP.

In presence of BJP leader and MLA of No 58 Tamulpur LAC, Emanuel Moshahary, prominent BPF leader Chandra Kanta Rajbangshi joined the BJP along with his 100 followers who had come from the BPF and other parties. After the joining programme, Emanuel Moshahary told media persons, "People are joining the BJP since the BTC polls. We have a target of making 7,000 new members join the party throughout the constituency and we will reach this target before the LAC poll 2021."

Moshahary further added, "People are attracted by the development schemes taken by the Narendra Modi-led government and for this people are joining the party. People have trust in the party." He expressed confidence that the BJP alliance would again form the government in the State in 2021.

Chandra Kanta Rajbangshi told media persons that BPF had failed to fulfill the expectations of the people in BTC in the last 17 years. He praised the BJP government for the construction work of RCC bridge over the Pagladiya River in the connecting road of Tamulpur and Baksa district headquarter Mushalpur.
