MORIGAON: After declaring the three villages Chenimari, Kuiadal and Ghunusa as containment zone under Jagiroad constituency, Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora asked heads of various officials to organize awareness programmes with the help of NGOs and the village leaders in order to combat COVID-19 in a meeting held on Sunday at the DC’s conference hall.
The DC instructed heads of various departments to work on a war-footing in the containment zones so that the viral disease did not spread further. The meeting also discussed the advisories given by the government for precautionary measures in the sealed areas where four COVID-19 cases had been detected. The DC also said that Anganwadi and ASHA workers must take stock of the health condition of the people in the sealed areas. The DC also met the leaders of various minority organizations and called upon them to be conscious against the COVID-19 pandemic.
